Plein Air Washington is a group of artists dedicated to the fine art of painting on location in natural light.
It is so exciting to be able to do something that you love so much and have it benefit not just folks that live today, but folks that are going
to be here in the future. Such was the paint out that we had in conjunction with
the San Juan Island Perservation Trust. Our efforts went towards shaping a more
beautiful future for the pristine jewels of Washington, the San Juan Islands.
It is my sincere hope that we as a group of plein air painters can contribute
more to the safety and perservation of our environment!

Without further ado, here are some excerpts from our paintout last week. If you
missed the festivities know that the entire show will be displayed at the San Juan Gallery for the month of August with a reception this weekend Saturday August 9 from
6:30 to 8:30. Call the gallery for more info. Proceeds from sales there will still
benefit the Trust!

Matt Dollohite, owner of the
San Juan Gallery got an early start painting this year before the paint out. Matt is featuring
the show in his gallery for the month of August with a reception on Saturday.
Proceeds go to benefit the San Juan Perservation Trust. Visit the website for
